Merlot
Since the 1800s, it was cultivated in Bordeaux, France and Veneto, Italy, and now represents Bordeaux with Cabernet Sauvignon. It is now grown in Chile, New Zealand and California.
Merlot is smooth, rich and fruity, Cabernet Sauvignon has more tannin component.
