It is the first time we release a Rosé that is made from Syrah grapes. Pale pink colour, dry and refreshing with a lovely quince, peach fruit notes.

Elephant Hill is a family owned winery estate making premium, hand crafted wines. Located in Hawke’s Bay, our vineyards enjoy a temperate, dry climate and an extended growing season allowing us to grow wines that display wonderful fruit purity and elegance.
This year is the first time we release a Syrah Rosé. The 2017 Syrah Rosé is made from grapes off Gimblett (42%), Bridge Pa Triangle (40%) and Te Awanga Vineyards (18%). 97% Syrah and 3% of Tempranillo. The grapes were gently whole-bunch pressed and fermentation was in stainless steel tank at as cool as 16c.
It is a perfect wine to enjoy as an aperitif and will match a wide variety of foods like antipasti, salads, seafood and paella.
